NC Community Recovery Advocacy Day

NC CRAD 2016

Having found our voices, we are taking back our stories.

This is our day to celebrate recovery and educate policy makers. Join us.

Please use this link to RSVP if you plan to attend. Follow the directions in the link if you would like to join advocacy teams and visit your NC legislators. Feel free to share the Eventbrite link on social media.

The day will begin with a town hall style gathering, featuring speakers from around the state. These speakers should represent multiple pathways to individual, family, and ally recovery. Why

  • The recovery community wants to become a resource for The North Carolina General Assembly as they consider solutions to problems around access to treatment and/or recovery supports necessary for sustained recovery from alcohol and other drug problems.
  • Our stories will provide policy makers with the proof that when folks living with alcohol and other drug problems get well, the entire community benefits.
  • The combined experience of our community will reveal to legislators the obstacles many face when attempting to initiate or sustain recovery.
